Weird dreams

I had a bunch of weird, complexly detailed dreams last night. A lot of them I don't remember clearly. There's this one bit, though, that I remember clearly, and almost every element of it is ridiculous in its own right:

Sam was riding a motorcycle. I was standing on the motorcycle behind him. We were on the frontage road of a highway, the kind with a giant wooden fence between us and the highway, in winter, at night. We were on our way home, but there were vampires in our way. There were two of them, male and female, and they had fangs, yellow eyes, black clothes, and black skin. The female was waving a long sword around.

I had something long in my hand, a balancing pole, maybe, considering what I was doing. I don't think it was a weapon. But when we got close to the vampires, I beheaded them with it effortlessly, first the armed female, then the male, without even slowing down the bike. We soon arrived home (a small house by the highway bearing no relation the the home of either of us).

We got off the bike and went in the front door. Immediately after I shut the door, I heard the sound of several dogs barking angrily, very close by. They ran up to the door. Sam, who was ahead of me, went back to the door. I thought, "don't open the door". But he opened it, and three small dogs with floppy ears and curly yellow hair ran in, and stood in the front hall, wagging their tails at us.

Then I woke up.

Wonderful! I love a good vampire dream :)

You're right, not much makes sense in its own right. What do you think the dogs mean?

I don't know. I suppose it could have something to do with the fear reaction we get when a dog barks angrily, which can turn out to be unneccessary.
