I have invented a better mousetrap . . .

. . . but I don't know what I'd do with a path beaten to my door.

I now count three times (the most recent a few minutes ago) that a mouse has managed to climb up into a wastebasket in search of some morsel of old food. Each time they make a lot of noise in there, and I simply scoop up the bag and take out the trash, mouse and all. Of course, it could be the same mouse, if it has a talent for eventually sneaking back out of the dumpster, into my apartment, and up the wastebasket; and thinks it is all a game.

No, I don't have a lot of mice in my apartment, but occasionally one comes through and a pattern has developed.

So, to trap a mouse, just let your wastebaskets sit awhile with old food in them, and wait for the rustling sound. Assuming it works on mice elsewhere.

I was sitting here, doing the critical, crucial stuff I do on the internet, and out of the corner of my eye I saw this blur. Now late at night I have those hallucinations, but this was no hallucination. It was about 2 inches long and it looked like ALL LEGS and it was running towards me. It ducked in a pile of clothes, so I spent the next minute beating on this pile of clothes. I hope it's dead.
