Centrally located!

I'm starting to realize how wonderfully centrally located my new place is! Did some Google maps. Distances to:

My parents' house in SE Minneapolis: 5.5 miles

Work on the other side of downtown St. Paul from me: 6.5 miles

phoenixredux's place in S. Minneapolis: 5.4 mi

Book group in S. Minneapolis: 5.4 miles

And there's a lot of shopping and restaurants etc. (& two good comic books stores) closer than any of these.

I've really gotta start riding my trike more.

What, is your book group at the cafe next door to me or something?

No, it's right by Powderhorn Park, and just coincidentally the exact same distance according to googlemaps.

And if you want to bring your trike over, I'd love to go for a ride with you.

Not today, but sometime we should meet somewhere in between our places and then bike around.

What's still 2 buses away? Your place? Yes, sometimes places that are not very far away will have maddening bus transfers. I wqs really thinking more of biking distances than buses. Places I'd regularly have reason to bus to aren't too terribly bad though (work is better than it was for that) and other places I now have the luxury of not having to bus to. I used to walk and bus everywhere, back when my work was 1 mile away from my home and before then. Then it was three buses and I eventually got a car. Cars eat up a lot of money though!

How far to Hill Murray High School in Maplewood? That will put you within half a mile from me.

We need to have coffee soon. Soon as all the moving is done.

OOOOHHHHH! And we'll be doing Vampire movie night very very soon.
