I am knitting a vest in lettuce green Reynolds Mandalay and I am afraid I will run out of yarn a little bit before I finish. I bought the yarn on sale locally a few years ago without a project in mind, then recently decided it would make a good vest for my dad. Now I think I won't have enough and the store does not carry the yarn anymore.

Does anyone have a little extra Reynolds Mandalay in lettuce green or leaf fern green (which I could throw in as a contrasting color)? If you can find some for me I will find something you want in return to trade.

(edit: BTW, I originally meant to post this to knitswap, not my own journal! But I have enough knitting lj-friends for this to be not too crazy.)

Just checked Ravelry and it looks like people have gray, natural, indigo, purple, and fern green up for trade, but no lettuce. Good luck!

Fern green might be good for a contrasting color (I think that's what I meant when I said leaf green) Maybe it's time for me to get around to joining ravelry. So far I've stuck to knitty.com and LJ for knitting community stuff.

Ravelry is really really really super awesome. (Fair warning: it turned me into a spinner and quite possibly a weaver.) Stalk me if/when you get an account, my user name's woolwine.

I would try The Fiber Studio.

Only because another knitting lj friend was in their commercial and I have less of a clue about knitting than I do about... well... things I have no idea about.

Yeah. :)

Reynolds Mandalay in lettuce green or leaf fern green
I know you left this years ago but, sometimes projects just sit until yarn shows up. Anyway... there are two auctions on eBay today 5/29/2014 for both colors. Reynolds Mandalay - 10 skeins in lettuce green and 2 skeins in fern green.

Re: Reynolds Mandalay in lettuce green or leaf fern green
Thanks! I did actually finish that project, but I kind of like the yarn, so I might have a look anyway.
