flat

Sometimes I wonder if there's some kind of law that flat tires must happen in bad weather (or on a Sunday night in the middle of nowhere). But really, I've only had 2 flat tires in bad weather (and one on a Sunday night in the middle of nowhere, though a helpful state trooper did show up while I was trying to remember how the jack works). But when I say bad weather, I mean REALLY bad weather. Ice storm or below-zero windchill.

Anyhow, one of the bad weather flat tires was today on the way to work. I thought, I'm not dealing with htis today. I just kept driving, but rerouted myself to the nearby Tires Plus, dropped it off and took the bus to work (and walked partway). Brr.

I think that "on the way to work" might be part of the rule as well. About a month ago I was heading to my van so that I could go to work and there was my front passenger-side wheel, completely flat. Of course the job I was going to was a delivery job so I couldn't much take the bus. I would up getting all four tires replaced. Just to be on the safe side.
