Like part of a really dumb joke!

I always sleep with a glass of water by the bed, because I get thirsty in the night*. Last night, I did something I'd never done before. I apparently woke up thirsty, reached for the glass of water, had a drink, and then apparently thought I was going to have more and held the glass for a moment over my chest rather than putting it back on the nightstand. I then fell back asleep, for I don't know how long until I moved in my sleep and spilled the whole remaining glass of water onto myself and the bedding. Which of course did wake me up. "Crap!" I said. "I just spilled a bunch of water on myself." I went to get a towel, mopped up a bit and then went back to sleep in the sogginess. Me and the bedding dried off the rest of the way in the AC overnight.

* When I was really little I slept with a glass of apple juice by the bed, in a lidded cup with Sanrio characters on it. Then my parents switched me to water due to the carpet by my bed smelling like a brewery due to my spillage despite the lidded cup, which I tended to knock over. When I got a bit older and less messy I switched to a normal glass, which I only knocked over occasionally, and hey, it's only water. Never spilled it in the bed, though.

I can understand that. I have done it before. I think the worst I ever did though, was put the remote for the tv in my water glass because I thought it was empty.

At least you missed me, mostly. I appreciated that.

Maybe we need to switch you to the sports bottle, or one of my work-approved beverage containers.

Well, I think I did do a bit of dry-covers stealing.

And, considering that I've been sleeping with a glass of water by the bed for 20+ years and have done this once, I don't think we need to be terribly worried. I don't think this is the start of a trend.

You will understand why I like to have unbreakable waterglasses, though.

I don't like having glasses of water by the bedside at night because Morgaine likes to share. She wakes me up when her tags clink on the glass. That's why I use Nalgene bottles. Well, that, and I've spilled like that on a couple of occassions.

Yes, you've explained why you use Nalgene bottles instead, and I get it now. And I agree with that necessity, when it comes to your household. You need a larger supply of Nalgene bottles (or similar containers), though.

So, speaking of water, I've got a new filterpitcher for you to replace the one we broke dancing. It's a Brita Classic Pitcher. I've also got the first three Harry Potter movies out from the library.

Sorry. Am I repeating myself again? I'm sorry. I repeat myself a lot. Sorry. I'll try to stop repeating myself.

That looks great! You're too kind. :)

Didn't we have a bunch of ambitious plans for the weekend? Or should we blow that all off and watch Harry Potter until our eyeballs bleed? Because that sounds pretty good, too. Oh! Remind me to pull "Spaced" down from the top shelf of my bookshelves.

Well, at least in this case you're discussing on the internet something that you already talked about in real life, rather than vice-versa. And I think we should do some of those ambitious plans, but also watch a couple Harry Potterses (they were on the list, too, anyway). The list was in this post of yours. Should I print it out with little checkboxes? But with some extra checkboxes for that last item. :)

Yes, it is quite the agenda. But I think we can accomplish all of it, and then some. :)

Did you remember to freeze and then thaw the Spachcock?

Gosh, that sounds dirty. Hey, I just realized something . . .

Saturday will be Shuttlecocks and Spatchcock Day!

Day of Cocks!
I took the cocks out of the freezer first thing this morning. They were really hard, but we should be able to melt them by this time tomorrow.

It's always sad to read about people's drinking problems...
